AI will marginalize people who are not familiar with new technologies

Computers will overtake humans with AI within the next 100 years. When that happens, we need to make sure the computers have goals aligned with ours”. Stephen Hawking

The beginning rival of humankind intelligence started with a British born and Canadian citizen, the psychologist and computer scientist Geoffrey Everest Hinton. He is considered as an authority in the community of AI (Artificial Intelligence), and some see him as the Godfather of deep learning (a subset of AI), the novel technology that has been revolutionizing our modern life.

AI is a field of computer science and also referred to as machine intelligence. It is an outstanding intelligence that is demonstrated by machine, computer or device. The primary purpose of this magnificent and advanced facility is solving people daily life problems. Its idea is basically training devices and machines to imitate and mimic human cognitive activities.

Scientists use computers and complicated algorithmics to teach machines and robots on how to operate based on data that is previously provided. Many leading companies are seeking these days to take this brilliant intelligence into the next level, which is autonomous or self-thinking robots. It is the ability when the machine can adapt and make decisions in different situations and conditions. This notion is challenging and promising. However, some constraints might hinder some people from reaping the furnished advantages of this facility.

In the fast race of technology that we are witnessing today. Learning some computer skills are quite important, not to contribute but only to be able to get access and benefit from its cutting-edge solutions.

To illustrate the picture better, take for instance the giant leader Google, it tools up its users by one of the smartest services, which is Google Maps. It is vastly used in transportation and traveling industry.

Users can get arrangements and suggestions which hand them by the better results to get their route easier, besides helping millions of people finding their ways, whether on a carriage or foot, users also reciprocally help the service scaling the data by scanning automatically roads information.

Another example which I personally witness whenever I go to one of the biggest fast food chains. They have recently adopted AI based devices to accelerate their services. This restaurant includes big interactive screens that mainly involve and allow customers to take and pay their orders by themselves.

These simple examples illustrate how machines are able to replace many human activities and meanwhile warn that learning new digital skills are compulsory to survive and live in the next decades.

Ultimately, all must be aware that this change is inevitable. The life based on AI is here today and the reasonable step that should be taken is preparing ourselves to tolerate it, through fighting digital ignorance, abandoning the traditional ways of learning and seeking to learn and develop new digital skills.
