Lately, 2 large companies have announced their foldable smartphones. These companies are Samsung and Huawei. They became very popular among people. Even though they are a little expensive, some people still want to buy them.
My thoughts on the foldable smartphones:
In my opinion, foldable smartphones are a really good concept if they are done right. If done correctly, they can save a lot of space in bags, pockets etc. I find the Samsung Galaxy Fold the best. It has a 7.3 inch screen, 12 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of storage. It also has a high end processor with a triple lens 16MP+12MP+12MP rear camera. Its battery is also impressive, measuring at 4,380mAh. Samsung also stated that users could run three apps at once. That can be really useful for students and businessmen. The phone is also cheaper than Huawei’s foldable phone, it will cost 1,980$. If i ever buy a foldable phone, i’ll buy the Samsung one even though i am a Huawei user. This is because of the price.
The Huawei Mate X is basically a tablet when fully opened. It has an 8 inch screen and when it’s shut, the user will have 2 screens at the front and rear. It is also very thin, that is very important for extra space. It has a Kirin 980 processor. It is also compatible with 5G unlike the Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. While the Huawei Mate X looks better to me than the Samsung Galaxy Fold, i still prefer the Galaxy Fold because of its price. Huawei Mate X costs 2,299$ and will release in the summer of 2019.
Apple’s foldable smartphone:
Apple hasn’t made an announcement on a foldable smartphone of theirs. I think they will wait for the release of other foldable phones and see if they sell well. If the foldable phones become a success, they will release a foldable phone of their own in their September event.
