WHAT DATA CAN DO?

You might begin by asking the question, “Why the current transportation system is being superseded by a new one? — Why there is no real-time data which connects the drivers to link to most crowded parts of the city? ”

The arrival of the “information everywhere” world has opened up new opportunities to make the existing transportation network far more efficient and user-friendly. Some have even reported that cities around the world are likely to spend up to $41 trillion in smart city tech by 2020. This is why one of the most important factors in developing a smart city is making sure these Internet of Things (IoT) systems get implemented in an integrated fashion.

Every piece of technology must work and communicate together so that city leaders can use the data to make lives better. Because that last part is really what IoT aims to accomplish, like making that word “inconvenient” become obsolete in the world of public transit.

There is a persistent need to improve the safety, the efficiency and the security of public transportation in Europe and around the World. New technologies allowing Public Transport Control Centers and buses to communicate voice, video, and data is a promising solution to make a step towards these goals.

Operators want to get a real-time picture of the situation of their bus fleets, and especially the passengers and surroundings of any bus they manage. Bus drivers also need to be able to send information by themselves.

  • The video is the most demanded application. But there is a big issue and concern with privacy.
  • Display of recorded past information is also of much interest.
  • Multiple technical solutions exist, but they have to be bound together and then tested in a real situation.

The most important issue in public transport including Uber, Taxi, and buses is there is no real time data on occupancy of different parts of the city.

People spent 90% of their life’s inside buildings. Those Buildings are one of the most strategic points which form the cities. In order for Optimizing of the Public transportation is or should have a connection with the buildings which we live in. The link between the buildings and public transport is missing and we need to connect the usage trends of the buildings with public transportation.

WHAT BEAD CAN DO?

BEAD is an IoT device which analyzes the occupancy ratios, trends, and flow of the buildings. It uses real-time data in order to learn how the people are using the building and how the buildings make an occupancy zone in the cities.

The analysis of BEAD will be integrated and liked to Uber and Taxi drivers or even with busses. The drivers will get the information on occupancy zones of the city and use that data to optimize their routes. That will help the drivers to save gas and reduce CO2 emissions as well. Instead of driving around without knowing where the crowd is, they will know exactly where the crowd is.

The second phase of the BEAD system will be to integrate the analytics into autonyms cars. Driverless cars will see which parts of the city are more crowded and can be linked to that part of the city. That will also help to optimize the routes of those vehicles.

The system will work through an app which will be integrated into drivers phones or applications which they use
